- _Quality & Contract Manufacturing Coordinator _to join us at our Head Office based in Preston.**About the role**
- As a Quality & Contract Manufacturing Coordinator, your primary focus will be to champion our manufacturing contract initiative which is designed to optimise the way we work with key contract manufacturing clients, allowing you to identify, understand and translate business needs into sourcing and procurement opportunities and strategies that drive significant value to the business.- In doing so, you will be the primary contact for key contract manufacturing clients, taking responsibility to improve communication whilst also taking the lead to facilitate the work required by the client and by our internal, cross-functional teams so that we meet the contract’s deliverables, provide outstanding service, and keep the relationship positive and on track.- The role is also responsible for managing and coordinating activities of our Quality Assurance by performing specialised tasks that maintain or enforce the highest of quality standards.- More specifically, this role will require you to:
- CMO_
- Manage the evaluation and approval of third-party manufacturers including site selection activities.
- Support Brand Manager to negotiate with supplier Contract manufacturing organizations (CMO) on costs, delivery times and distribution of shipments
- Establish and maintain external collaborations and monitor supplier performance to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of suppliers
- Identify project optimization opportunities (e.g., timeline, budget, technical completion)
- Quality Assurance_
- Manage the Quality Monitoring and Quality Review of third part manufacturers
- Perform GMP audits of third-party manufacturers
- Complaints management.
- Coordinate product recall and returns for the managed manufacturers.
- Support/perform implementation of quality standards and procedures

**About you**- To be considered, you will also need to demonstrate that you have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Sciences required
- 5+ years of experience in operations within the pharmaceutical, dietary supplement or related, GMP regulated industry
- At least 5 years in a similar position or procurement management position
- Experience negotiating supplier agreements
- Very high negotiating skills
- Deep understanding of the manufacturing processes within the Food Science, complementary medicines, Pharma or related industry
- Experience in managing contract manufacturing and third part contract manufacturers to achieve maximum outcomes with cost efficient approaches
- Demonstrated ability to support multiple, sourcing categories in a highly regulated environment (cGMP)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of operations planning.
- Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- The successful applicant will also be required to return a satisfactory National Criminal History Check outcome._
