SC1. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Department of Education and Training Human Resource software systems including but not limited to eduPay and SRP, external software including Microsoft Office and Compass and an extensive understanding of the policies and obligations relating to Employee Relations, and the Victorian Government Schools Agreement.

SC 2. Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and manage a team in a changing environment, including the ability to plan prioritise and influence individual and team performance to achieve organisational goals

SC 3. Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, impartiality and communicate effectively at a senior level within the organisation, whilst maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

SC 4. Demonstrated experience in working with Human Resource systems, policies, reporting and process improvements to strengthen school performance, whilst remaining compliant with DET policies and procedures.

SC 5. Parkville College is guided by an evidence based culturally responsive pedagogy. Provide an example from your experience that demonstrates your understanding of Culturally Responsive Practice in an educational setting.

**Role**:
This role has two main components. One is directly delivering high quality HR support to two identified team (senior leadership group and the connect group). This part of the role will allow the modelling and demonstration of best practice human resource management. The other main component of the role is developing and delivering a community of practice approach of internal support to assist campus based business managers, who report to Campus Principals, in their delivery of high quality well informed HR support. This approach will connect all HR supports with DET guidance and expectations. This internal support focus seeks to enhance capacity and continuity of support across the school.

This position is responsible for the development and refinement of college wide HR policies and procedures that enable employees to best be placed to deliver the Parkville College pedagogy. With a strong internal capacity building focus, the HR Practice Manager role exists to support the Executive Principal and Senior Leadership team and campus business mangers with whole school HR compliance and practice in a complex setting.

The HR Practice Manager will directly support the HR requirements of the PC Connect team and the senior leadership team and operate a community of practice model of advice and support to campus business managers who deliver HR practice to campus-based staff.

An education support class role at this range is a senior member of School leadership, accountable for multiple key areas or functions for the school(s), including the achievement of established school objectives.

Reporting to the Executive Principal the HR Practice Manager is a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

The HR Practice Manager will work in collaboration with the Finance Manager and Executive Principal to ensure all school HR processes are effectively completed as per DET guidelines.

The HR Practice Manager will also be responsible for a small team and central employees who provide office management and central business administration for the connect and senior leadership teams based from the Park Street office.

This role may require work during school holiday breaks.

An education support class position at level 2 will have a primary responsibility for the management of significant areas or functions within the school to support the educational services being provided to students. In exercising the responsibility an education support class position at level 2 will have the authority to make all significant decisions relating to the program, budget and staff relating to their area of designated responsibility within the framework of the school's strategic plan, policies and budget but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor.

Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee's position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.

An education support class position at level 2 will contribute to the overall management of the school through involvement in policy formulation and decision making.
