**Selection Criteria**:
SC1. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Department of Education and Training Human Resource software systems including but not limited to eduPay and SRP, external software including Microsoft Office and Compass and an extensive understanding of the policies and obligations relating to Employee Relations, and the Victorian Government Schools Agreement.

SC 2. Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and manage a team in a changing environment, including the ability to plan prioritise and influence individual and team performance to achieve organisational goals

SC 3. Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, impartiality and communicate effectively at a senior level within the organisation, whilst maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

SC 4. Demonstrated experience in working with Human Resource systems, policies, reporting and process improvements to strengthen school performance, whilst remaining compliant with DET policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Establish, refine and monitor contemporary HR reporting metrics and reporting against appropriate benchmarks
- Work with the Executive Principal to see DET policy adapted to operate in the Parville College context.
- Influencing and facilitating the continued growth of a positive and productive recruitment process and overall workplace culture, aligned with the mission, vision and values.
- Developing an effective community of practice model of support, coaching and guidance for campus based HR delivery.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate programs, in consultation with the Executive Principal, which develop relevant leadership, technical, coaching and people management competencies and other activities which support the retention of quality staff
- Working with campus based business managers and leadership teams in maintaining and extending performance management and improvement practices, partnering with leaders at all levels to facilitate coaching, feedback, counselling, and mentorship to drive performance
- Take on the management and administration of identified complex HR cases (e.g. Workcover) as identified by the Executive Principal.
- Develop and refine appropriate human resource systems, procedures, and internal controls to support the efficient and effective operation of the HR function at Parkville College.
- Serve as the senior point of contact or oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to senior leadership.
- Serve as a local resource on employee relations issues and concerns and partner closely with Campus Leaders and Business Mangers in addressing specific complaints and concerns.
- Develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effectiveness of communications and resolution of issues
- Identify, evaluate and managing potential risks in all areas of employment.
- Manage the Student Resource Package in collaboration with the Finance Manager, including the fortnightly reconciliation to ensure alignment with the school strategic direction.
- Provide supervision and oversight of assigned central HR and administrative support staff including hiring, training, work assignments, and managing performance, with a significant focus on coaching the Business Managers on a regular basis.
- Manage the Human Resources processing for the Schools Connect, Executive, Central Administration teams and any new sites as required. This includes, but is not limited to Payroll Certification, recruitment, induction, coordination of the Performance and Development process, SRP/ Workforce Planning, parental leave meetings and workcover.
- Oversee the annual performance and development process including but not limited to adhering to required timelines.
- Manage the payroll function of the school
