**Job description**:
**The Opportunity**

We are seeking multiple APS4 Policy Analysts to join a Federal Government Agency based in Geelong or Richmond.

The Analytics, Data and Actuarial Division (ADA) provides actuarial services, analytics, data management, pricing, and data governance across the organisation and to key stakeholders.

The APS4 Policy Analyst is a project-based position, supporting the provision of policy analysis and recommendations.

**As a Policy Analyst, you will be required to;**
- Analyse and interpret legislation, policies, reports, strategies, and program/project plans,
- Conduct desktop research to inform policy and strategy design,
- Coordinate and liaise with internal with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to briefings, reports, business cases and other executive material,
- Develop materials, agendas and PowerPoint presentations for meetings and workshops.

**To be considered for this role you will demonstrate;**
- Experience working or studying in an interdisciplinary context.
- Understanding of current policy trends and debates relevant to the disability sector and/or social policy in Australia.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Conceptual and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to understand and synthesise information from a range of sources,
- Strong stakeholder relationship management and interpersonal skills.
- A relevant social sciences undergraduate or postgraduate qualification may be advantageous.
