A fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced Investigator to take the next step in their career and join our Proactive Investigations team.
Intelligence-led, proactive investigations provide an important service to the Victorian community, with investigators conducting VBA initiated investigations into suspected breaches of building and plumbing legislation, regulations and professional standards.
This involves analysing data, conducting interviews, preparing reports and detailed briefs of evidence, participating in court proceedings, providing advice and information to the building industry. It also involves working closely with key internal stakeholders to gather information and continuously improve processes.

**Who we are looking for**:

- Demonstrated experience in a compliance or regulatory environment undertaking investigations, gathering information and evidence, preparing reports and/or briefs of evidence with the ability to undertake analysis and reporting of data.
- Proven written and oral communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills, all demonstrated via the undertaking of investigations, analysing information, pursuing lines of inquiry, assessing evidence and preparing reports.
- Demonstrated ability to be positive, decisive and flexible while maintaining impartiality, objectivity and professionalism and act ethically and with integrity and fairness.
- Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or higher with demonstrated practical experience in conducting investigations.
