A council north of Melbourne suburbs is looking for a Planning Compliance/Investigations officer to join their team until the end of October 2024.
- Contract role until October 2024 - possibility of extension
- Role suitable for a Statutory Planner looking to gain exposure to the investigations/compliance space
- Full time hours - hybrid role
- Hourly rate depends on your experience
- Start by the end of March 2024
- Smart Casual attire

**The role will include site inspections associated with building sites and land use on private property. Enforcing Planning Scheme and planning permits, issuing contravention letters, infringements taking enforcement action and educating people.**

**Service Delivery -**
- Undertake high level problem solving, investigative and analytical skills with the ability to deal effectively and diplomatically with

conflict, complaints and enquiries
- Utilise conflict resolution skills within a regulatory and enforcement frame work where by officers will have to manage difficult and

complex conversations and respond to potentially emotional and poor behavior.
- Liaise with and direct developers relating to non-compliance on land in order to achieve satisfactory compliance.
- Conducting investigations, resolving complaints and gathering evidence in a lawful manner.
- Undertaking inspections of developments.
- Follow procedures, policies, guidelines and directions
