The Data team is responsible for providing easy to use data products and services to enable data-informed decision making, highly engaging consumer experiences and effective commercial products. We empower Nine to be Australia’s Media Company.

This role sits within the Advertiser Products & Customer Data Platform (CDP) squad and has the primary objective of building the best-in-class first party data capabilities, driving commercial and business outcomes for Nine. Working closely with the Senior Data Product Manager, you will be managing the planning and delivery of various data initiatives that deliver value to business and commercial stakeholders. You will assist in the strategic planning and prioritisation process and take ownership of requirements and delivery throughout the Agile software development lifecycle process.You will be working very closely with the development team and play a key role in translating business needs into defining and grooming requirements for the development team.

To be successful in this role, you need to have familiarity with a data driven business and engineering environment and be comfortable participating in both business and technical conversations. This role requires a basic understanding of the digital advertising landscape. Any previous experience with DMP and CDP platforms is a big plus.

**As a Data Product Manager, Ad Products, you will**:

- Analyse and assess stakeholder requirements from the Ad Products function to shape desired business outcomes and to develop solution options that consider the user experience, technical complexity, and ongoing cost / service requirements
- Drive requirements discovery and definition for Ad Products data initiatives
- Provide clear and concise documentation for requirements and translate them into testable user stories and process flows
- Support the delivery process (i.e. across sprints) for a dedicated data engineering squad, contributing into iteration planning meetings and retrospectives
- Collaborate with the Data Engineering team in determining technical feasibility, producing solution designs and ultimately, a working data product
- Communicate any requirement dependencies, issues or risks identified through the analysis process
- Drive engagement with stakeholders to clarify requirements, confirm solution approach and to inform priorities
- Use data from Data warehouse and CDP to identify actionable insights to inform decision making and for reporting purposes.
- Work with the engineering team to provide platform management for Nine’s CDP, ensuring platform stability, data quality, security & compliance and ensuring platform usage is within the set guardrails.
- Use your SQL skills and experience with data visualisation to investigate, prioritise and enable communications with key stakeholders

**Qualifications**
You have a passion for data, product management and technology, and are excited by the challenge of making a positive impact on how we analyse, model, activate & drive commercial outcomes for Australia’s media company. We'd particularly like to hear from you if you have experience in Digital Advertising/AdTech/CDP/DMP.

What you’ll bring to the role:

- A professional qualification in IT or related field with prior experience working in an Agile environment
- Domain knowledge of digital advertising,Ad/mar tech, preferably in the context of data and analytics
- Experience with business analysis in a data driven business including requirements gathering, requirements validation and definition
- Comfortable with SQL (with focus on data query language)
- Previous experience with data platforms DMP’s, CDP, Big Query
- Previous experience with confluence, JIRA and/or other related tools
- An ability to self-start, independently manage your workload, and multi-task with confidence
- A methodical approach to problem solving
- The technical chops required to investigate issues, conduct analysis and collaborate on technical solutions
- The ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues
