**About The Role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a **Data Product Manager**, to join us in Australia office. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, the Data Product Manager will take a leading role within the delivery squad. They will take full responsibility for the life cycle of a product from Inception through to development launch and support.

You will be the central point for analysing and managing requests from the business stakeholders and clients taking ownership for the agreed solution and manage the delivery process including development tasks, data and other inputs necessary to resolve problems, communicate business solutions and document new processes.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maximising business value through ordering and prioritising the product backlog features and stories
- Owning and sharing both the product or service vision and the product backlog on behalf of all business stakeholder
- Working closely with the team and the tech lead to ensure that the team understand the product backlog and can effectively plan for sprints
- Deepening the team’s knowledge of customer needs, motivations, and behaviour to influence designs that contribute to a rewarding customer experience.
- Be responsible for the full life cycle of data initiatives from inception through to development, and support, for work produced by data teams.
- Engage and collaborate with and business stakeholders across Valocity to understand data related requirements and oversee the design and implementation of data products to meet business project specific needs.
- Translating business use cases into data product deliverables
- Identifying opportunities for divisional data usage process simplification to deliver of efficiencies and optimisation across reporting and analytics.
- Supporting the ongoing implementation of data governance and data management.
- The Product Owner is responsible for documenting and communicating both the context and the decisions to the wider business and delivery teams.

**Key Requirements**:

- Certification in Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
- 2 - 3 years’ experience as a Product Manager within a highly complex technology based agile environment or 4 - 5 years’ experience as a Senior Business Analyst within a highly complex technology based agile environment
- Strong working experience in Power BI
- Hands-on experience with a number of data manipulation tools
- Experience working with the analysis of data from complex data sets and systems
- Experience with advanced analytics, business modelling, and optimisation, simulation modelling and statistical techniques
- Experience in customer and product discovery, implementation and measurement processes
- Must be able to show a track record of achieving business objectives through product releases
- Knowledge in Customer and Product discovery, implementation and measurement processes
- Exceptional business analysis and stakeholder management skills
- Experience gathering documenting, analysing data requirements and producing technical specification
- Strong communication skills, ability to work independently as well as in a team.
