Priority Plumbing manages panels of contractors across many industrial and residential services and uses the latest technology to automate and facilitate its services to its customers which include water utilities, councils, commercial businesses and residents. It has a passionate and talented team of specialists and service coordinators.

Iota is a wholly owned subsidiary of South East Water. Established to deliver impact outside of South East Water’s regulatory boundaries, Iota seeks to drive change in the water sector and help it respond to challenges such as climate change. Iota also commercialises game changing digital and circular economy technologies.

**The role**:
This is a senior role within the Iota leadership team, overseeing a vital part of Iota’s commercial business. The Priority Plumbing Manager will lead a team of plumbers, contractors and customer service specialists in providing a range of plumbing services whilst maintaining quality and safety standards. Priority Plumbing is about to considerably increase its volume of business in expectation of a contract to perform industrial plumbing services for a large water utility in Melbourne. The role will be to ensure Priority Plumbing is set up for success for that program and leverage opportunities to grow the business from this platform including taking advantage of new opportunities in digital metering and IoT devices.

We are seeking an experienced leader who can drive the commercial success of the Priority Plumbing business and can also:

- Develop and oversee commercial and operational plans and activities;
- Prepare and manage budgets, resourcing and pricing models with a commercial lens;
- Oversee relationships with our panel contractors and effectively influence and negotiate win-win outcomes for Priority Plumbing and our contractors while holding them accountable;
- Drive growth into new business areas and opportunities including influencing internal stakeholders to invest resources into new opportunities;
- Be responsible for bid responses to opportunities including bid strategy and ensuring that Priority Plumbing’s positioned for success;
- Ensure business negotiations are undertaken to protect the interests and reputation of the company and are undertaken with integrity at all times;
- Play a leading role as the face of Priority Plumbing in establishing and building relationships across South East Water and in the external market;
- Participate in, and provide input to, governance and management meetings including board reporting;
- Coach and develop the team to meet high performance expectations and embed a culture of collaboration to ensure team goals and objectives are delivered, and
- Identify and improve processes. Embed changes that results in increased efficiency and customer service levels.

- Strong leadership skills. You will guide and mentor the group to build their capability using a growth mindset;
- Experience in the Civil Engineering or industrial plumbing markets, with an understanding of standards and regulations;
- Proven experience in project management with a strong focus on safety, quality, customer delivery and project execution;
- Solid understanding and passion for safety practises, reporting and elimination;
- Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal skills and the ability to engage authentically across diverse groups and audiences;
- Experience in contract management and negotiations with the ability to manage and prioritise competing stakeholders;
- Solid systems and process experiences;
- Highly developed commercial mindset and acumen, with experience in business planning, forecasting and financial management;
- Solutions-oriented with sound judgment and the ability to collaborate and lead while under pressure; and
- The ability to identify and propose improved business processes and systems that drive efficiency.
