**The role**:
The Plumbing Assessor will be responsible for conducting safety audits and observations in the field for our panel of plumbing contractors who perform programmed works; as well as driving continuous improvement in the safety space through the compilation of reports, recommendations and effective implementation.
As the Plumbing Assessor, you will confidently hold people accountable and grow a workplace culture that values all the checks and balances to enable safe work practices and industry compliance. A key contact for all of our contractors and customers in the field, you'll excel at building trusted relationships, soliciting feedback and using your extensive experience as a plumber, you'll confidently provide support and direction, as well as troubleshoot issues through to resolution, all the while ensuring an excellent customer and contractor experience.
As a qualified plumber, the Plumbing Assessor will also play a pivotal role in delivering our virtual leak detection program, aligned to the roll-out of digital meters for South East Water’s customers.
**Who are you?**:
As a qualified and licensed plumber with extensive experience, you'll possess strong knowledge and understanding of plumbing practices and regulations, codes and safety standards. You will have proven experience in conducting audits and evaluations within the industry and can translate complex and technical information to diverse audiences.
As well as being a passionate advocate for the industry, the following key points will ensure your efficiency in the role:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback whilst maintaining ongoing relationships.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in assessment processes.
- Proficiency in using assessment tools and software along with the confidence to conduct live interactive video chat using high tech programs, whilst interacting with a customer.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
