**About The Position**:
Caterpillar is looking for an experience Accounts Manager to manage the corporate relationship with one of Caterpillar's mining largest customers with a focus on maximising equipment performance and maintaining a pipeline of Continuous Improvement projects.
**Position Duties Include But Not Limited To**:
- Develop and maintain effective customer relationships so that sales, continuous improvement and product performance objectives can be achieved.
- Develop, plan and execute a pipeline of continuous improvement projects that leverages Caterpillar, dealer and customer resources to enable the customer to achieve their ESG, maintenance and product performance goals.
- Working alongside a team of Site Performance Managers, monitor the global performance of the customer equipment fleet and identify improvement projects to maximise the availability of the fleet.
- Develop relationships with key dealer leaders to best understand and leverage their network, their internal workings, and their value added.
- Must communicate effectively across product, regional, dealer and/or customer audiences to ensure strategic and tactical alignment in addition to gaining an understanding and acceptance of ideas and recommendations.
- This position requires regular travel to job locations, foreign and domestic, to understand customer needs and support project execution.
- Must have ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences. Good human relations skills are required to develop a collaborative/cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the business unit.
**BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE**:
- Tertiary qualifications, or equivalent experience, with multiple years of direct customer and dealer facing experience in a marketing or commercial function.
- Prior account management experience, or specific and relevant progressively responsible job related experience.
- Ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences.
- Strong interpersonal skills to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the organization to take specific actions.
- Leadership skills to develop and retain major customer accounts.
- Broad business background, specific long-term industry knowledge and excellent communication skills.
