**Our Next Proposal Manager **

The Proposal Manager will be a key member of Okane’s Operations team responsible for managing the entire proposal lifecycle. This includes supporting the identification of opportunities developing winning strategies, and developing of resources and driving processes to ensure timely submissions that meet all requirements. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record of success in helping to secure new businesses in the consulting engineering industry. This position is open to our North American (Calgary, Saskatoon, or Cranbrook) or Oceania (Brisbane or Perth) offices.

**Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities**
- Proposal Strategy Development: Oversee the development of winning proposal strategies and content, including positioning, messaging, and differentiation strategies tailored to each client's requirements.
- Proposal Team Coordination: Oversee coordination of multidisciplinary proposal teams, including project coordinators, technical experts, and support staff, to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the proposal development process.
- Proposal Writing and Editing: Provide guidance and support to proposal team members to incorporate high-quality proposal content, including executive summaries, technical narratives, project and team experience features, and project approaches.
- Proposal Review and Quality Assurance: Ensure that the proper reviews of proposal documents have been completed by assigned qualified personnel to confirm accuracy and compliance to client requirements and company standards.
- Budgeting and Cost Estimation: Collaborate with project coordinators and technical teams to develop accurate cost estimates and budgets for proposed projects.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and track proposal performance metrics, including win rates and proposal effort and cycle times, and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Manage and maintain registration in tender and vendor registration systems (federal, provincial, and state) and track for opportunities.
- Review bid/ tender requirements, and complete prequalification forms.
- Mange the development / and maintenance of proposal database and templates.
- Developing processes and tools to help streamline proposal development.
- Lead and manage proposal coordinators.

**Job Requirements**
- Experience working in the mining industry or in professional services industry leading proposals is considered an asset.
- Experience working with highly technical proposal teams is considered an asset.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking and time management skills.
- Demonstrates excellent Business and Technical written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interpret proposal requirements and wording and explain to others where necessary.
- Has a strong understanding of Okane Technical work and Core Processes to communication value proposition supporting technical staff in developing technical proposals.
- Solves problems by combining past practices and devising new approaches.
- Able to perform work with mínimal supervision.
- Identifies areas of support and efficiency improvements within the proposal process that are required and takes the initiative to find solutions.
- Ability and willingness to work with staff in different time zones.
