About the team
People Branch sits within the department’s Enabling and Business Services Group and is responsible for strategic and operational focussed HR advice and services to support business areas to meet their workforce needs.

**What you will do**:

- As a HR Officer, you will be responsible for providing strong stakeholder management, advice and support on a range of HR matters, and administrative duties.
Your duties may include but are not limited to:

- Providing effective and impartial support to the department’s stakeholders in line with departmental strategies and/or recruitment legislation.
- Contributing to data and analysis for the production of reports or answering queries for the department.
- Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with stakeholders including providing guidance to departmental employees as required.
- Inbox management including responding to general enquiries, actioning requests and delegating or escalating work as appropriate.
- Assisting to deliver HR initiatives and strategies while providing regular updates to your supervisor.
- Participating in strategic planning and decision making within the team.
- Exercising discretion with respect to how procedures and guidelines are interpreted and applied.
