**About the role**
The Referral Officer works within the Cancer Support and Information Group and reports to the Manager, Financial and Legal Programs.
The role primarily involves the administration of Financial and Legal Programs via the provision of telephone-based intake, screening, and processing of referrals into the program for those impacted by cancer and who are experiencing financial hardship.
This role is a Permanent, Full-time role (37.5 hours per week)
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have a high level of technological skills, ability to identify and manage priorities, and have attention to detail in your work. In this role you will have direct contact with clients, therefore you will also possess excellent customer service skills.

**Essential Skills**:
- Experience working in administration or customer service delivery
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with people from all levels of the community
- Ability to work independently, with limited supervision and as a member of a team
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and be flexible to operational needs
- Excellent attention to detail
- High level of computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office suite and proven ability to learn new systems

- An understanding of the impact that diagnosis and treatment of cancer has on individuals, their partners, and families.
