Strengthen our digital foundations
Build our digital capability
Maximise the benefits of digital technologies for teaching and learning
Streamline and modernise our operations
Mobilise ICT support where it is needed

Through this focus the department will embrace the opportunities provided by today’s technology, and shape the future of our education system for generations to come. The department’s Digital Strategy includes seventeen key reform initiatives, each designed to complement each other and support a holistic approach to digital education.

One of these initiatives reflects the establishment of an ICT Corporate Business Partnering team. The department are now seeking a Manager, ICT Corporate Business Partnerships to lead a team of ICT Business Partners in the strategic planning, delivery and evaluation of critical business improvement programs, projects and services that drive modernisation of business processes across the department’s central divisions with a focus on the identification and adoption of digital technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and guide a high performing team in the delivery of critical business partnering programs, project management and advisory services that support modernisation of the department’s central divisions through the identification, development and delivery of integrated, fit for purpose ICT solutions and the accompanying change management activities to ensure the benefits of modernisation are realised
- Plan, lead and oversee the management of high quality, customer centric business partnering services characterised by strategic engagement with executive and senior management to identify key areas for modernisation and provide expert advice on business change strategies and processes
- Lead the strategic planning and delivery of critical projects to uplift corporate ICT platforms and solutions
- Conceptualise and implement client specific strategies with particular regard to budget implications of technology modernisation, adapting current and future technology to resolve issues
- Build and establish strategic partnerships and relationships with a broad range of key internal and external stakeholders, including contributing specialist skills and advice to critical state-wide working groups and steering committees relating to the integration of technology within corporate business units, schools and preschools

Key Requirements:

- Proven experience in providing strategic leadership and direction to high performing multidisciplinary teams
- Extensive experience in leading the strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of critical business improvement programs, projects and services that include the identification and delivery of fit for purpose digital technologies
- Extensive knowledge of the use of tools and data to develop and deliver evidence-based analysis, operational strategies, engagement plans and executive reporting
- Highly effective in articulating and presenting complex concepts clearly and concisely, and leading and managing change and risk management initiatives in a politically sensitive environment
