Regional Sales Manager

Overview:
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and successful Regional Sales Manager to lead our Clinical Diagnostics Group (CDG), based in Sydney and covering NSW and QLD. The role will be responsible for leading and driving Bio-Rad's successful Clinical Diagnostics portfolio.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will have responsibility for actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to grow the CDG business in the region. This includes ensuring budgeted annual sales; profit and expense objectives are met or exceeded for the Group’s business within designated territories.
**How You’ll Make an Impact**:
- Establish and achieve an annual sales and profit plan as agreed with the National Sales Manager
- Forecast, monitor and control selling and other expenses for the Group
- Prepare accurate fortnightly and monthly sales forecasts for submission to National Sales Manager
- Inspire, influence, coach and develop individuals to meet agreed individual and organisational targets and objectives for the region
- Manage Account Managers (AMs) to ensure adherence to sales forecasts and focus on areas for growth
- Work with AMs to ensure optimal utilisation of all sales resources,
- Manage the recruitment, training, supervision, remuneration and separation of sales team staff
- Ensure the effective implementation of the Performance Management Program
- Adequately supervise, manage, motivate staff, to build a strong cohesive team
**What You Bring**:
- Minimum5 years proven successful experience in sales and marketing in the Clinical and/or Life Sciences Industries
- Experience working in a Matrix organization.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct line management experience
- Proven ability to prepare, implement and monitor business/marketing plans
- Strong business acumen
- Attention to detail
- Strong planning/organizing skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
- Proven ability to influence at all levels
- Strong leadership and team building skills
- Degree qualified in Science
