The Role

The successful person will be responsible for designing and executing performance strategies and providing support for MMO’s organisational transformation project.

You will be responsible for:

- Play a key role in MMO’s organizational transformation by leading a pipeline of improvement projects;
- Designing, implementing and supporting MMO new Management Operating System (MOS);
- Identifying areas of the organization that need performance improvement and providing recommendations for optimization;
- Working with stakeholders to identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies;
- Collaborating with key stakeholders and implementing management routines to ensure that the projects are on track and that all milestones are met within the stipulated timeline;
- Identify specific areas for cost improvement and ensure the development and implementation of action plans to achieve these gains;
- Providing guidance and training to the project teams on business improvement best practices, tools, and methodologies; and
- Designing and executing performance testing strategies to identify performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for improvement.

About You

To excel as a business improvement lead in MMO’s organisational transformation project, you should possess the following:

- Recognised tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business Administration, Business Improvement or a related discipline;
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement and performance management;
- Demonstrated experience in auditing and implementing an Operating Management System (MOS);
- Experience in Enterprise Risk Management is preferred;
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and to present complex performance data in a clear and understandable manner;
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically, analyse complex data, and identify areas for performance improvement;
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
- A results-oriented mindset, with a strong focus on delivering measurable value and outcomes for the organisation;
- Knowledge of project management best practices and experience working collaboratively with other project managers and key stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of performance deliverables; Knowledge of industrial processes and manufacturing operations, with experience working in an industrial setting;
- Understanding of change management principles, with the ability to effectively communicate and manage change in an industrial setting;
- Familiarity with process mapping and flowcharting tools, with experience developing and documenting standard operating procedures; and
- WA ‘C’ class driver's licence.
