**The Nursing Workforce Unit**
- The Nursing Workforce Unit provides a unique and flexible career opportunity for casual Ward Clerks to work across multiple departments and campuses within the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Shifts are managed by the Nursing Workforce Unit and are allocated according to organisational need reflecting individual skills and experience.
- The Royal Melbourne Hospital’s clinical areas include acute, subacute and residential care areas. Ward Clerks provide a vital role in supporting the clinical teams and are able to positively shape the patient experience. The casual Ward Clerk works under the direct supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager and liaises with the multidisciplinary team, patients, families and other members of the public.

**Your new role**
- Delivering professional customer service in a caring manner
- Clerical and receptionist duties of the ward/department, the coordination of physical traffic and telecommunication of the ward/department
- Management of patient administrative information using the electronic medical record
- Other clerical and administrative duties as required by the Manager

**About you**
- Ability to quickly and efficiently adapt to new work environments on a shift-to-shift basis
- You have effective communication skills and proven administration experience
- Comprehensive understanding of administrative software - Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams or other video related software
- Experience working with a diverse range of work groups
- Work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organised and have good time management skills
- Can commit to a minimum of 2 shifts per fortnight
- In accordance with the Victorian Government’s Mandatory Vaccination Directions, all employees must be vaccinated against COVID-19 with TGA approved vaccines and must provide evidence of their vaccination status prior to commencement.
