I am currently partnering with one of Queensland's largest employers to recruit an experienced Lead Front End Developer to lead development and maintenance of a large customer-centric web solution as part of an Agile team. This is an initial 8-month day rate contract + likely extensions based in Brisbane's CBD with some work flexibility options available.

As the Senior User Experience Designer, you will have demonstrated experience in designing digital products with high numbers of daily active users as part of an agile software development team. You will also have experience in designing simple and valuable interactions from requirements that are sometimes initially ambiguous or complex.

**As Senior User Experience Designer you will**:
Lead user experience and user interface design that provides access to services, ease of use and high value to Queenslanders;
Reach a deep understanding of the range of customers' needs, attitudes and behaviours in relation to products; Assess research and analytics from different sources across channels to identify the opportunities for product improvement;
Facilitate an open, inclusive and cross-functional way of working with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers and other stakeholders;
Liaise and engage with agency clients to gather and document design requirements;
Create conceptual mock-ups of product features;
Participate in and facilitate customer and stakeholder workshops and co-design sessions;
Exhaust design options efficiently through benchmarking, ideation and sketching;
Present design options whilst providing rationale and evidence;
Produce low and high-fidelity prototypes using the Design System;
Organise, plan, moderate and report on user testing and observe and respond to user testing organised by others;
Prepare and handover developable specification documentation and review implementation of design for defects;
Communicate, collaborate and document in accordance with best practice design operations in an agile product development team;
Ensure projects meet the required visual and digital style guidelines including the Queensland Government Corporate Identity guidelines, the Consistent User Experience website guidelines, accessibility requirements and copyright and creative commons; and

Contribute to the Design System, community of practice groups and help coach and mentor the business and junior designers on best practice user experience and user interface design.

**About You**:
Technical Capability One

**Demonstrated skills and experience in**:
User interface design;
Use of tools such as Figma, Miro and Adobe CC; and

Accessibility compliance (e.g. WCAG).

Technical Capability Two

**Ideally experience in one or more of**:
Design systems;
User testing;
HTML, CSS & JS;
Illustration; and

UX Writing.
