**The role**
As a Learning Leader, you'll create and oversee educational programs that align with the Botanic Gardens' mission, using both traditional and emerging technologies to reach and engage diverse audiences. You'll ensure resources and experiences are accessible and appealing, and provide support to casual staff to deliver quality education.

In this dynamic role, you'll also manage program logistics, track outcomes, and foster relationships with community groups, educational partners, and industry networks. Your efforts will help grow community engagement, maintain financial sustainability, and expand the Gardens' educational impact across a wide audience.

Our education and community programs provide rich and relevant outdoor learning experiences in Science, Geography, History, and First Nations histories and cultures for all ages, across our three gardens.

You will be primarily based at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, however from time to time, you may be required to work at other Botanic Garden sites in Mount Annan and Mount Tomah.

**What you will bring to the role**
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and adapt communication styles to a wide range of audiences, from young children to seniors.
- A proven track record in creatively developing and delivering high-quality programs, especially in outdoor settings and environments rich in cultural, scientific, or environmental significance.
- Prior experience designing diverse programs tailored to different audiences, including early childhood education and specialized programs for older adults.
- Knowledge of formal education structures, interpretive theory with the ability to align programs with educational standards.
- Skilled in developing and reviewing engaging lesson content, written materials, and interactive resources to ensure a high-impact learning experience.
- A collaborative, creative, and ethical approach to work, contributing positively to a team that values innovative and inclusive education.

**What is an essential requirement**:

- A Working with Children Check is an essential requirement for this role. The role has been identified as requiring a check in keeping with the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012.
- Current Australian driver’s licence.
