**The opportunity**

In this dynamic and multifaceted position, **you will take the reins in guiding and leading both the People and Culture and Risk functions on a day-to-day basis. **Your role will be a truly hands-on experience, providing you with diverse responsibilities and opportunities to make a meaningful impact.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to the people and culture team and oversee all operational functions
- Manage Council’s exposure to risk by ensuring statutory and legal compliance with respect to industrial relations and Work Health Safety requirements
- Mentor, coach, and act as an internal consultant for Executives and Managers on matters relating to the employment life cycle
- Facilitate organisation and employee development planning to ensure that Council’s workforce is appropriately skilled to achieve its current and future goals and objectives
