The National Distribution Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the warehouse teams ensuring company’s targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements, ensuring that all employees comply with health, safety & standard operating procedures.

**Primary Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned**:

- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries are the key focus for all activities and sites as measured by OTD (On Time Delivery), OTTR (On Time To Request) and Warehouse error rates.
- Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, ensuring all team members understand them.
- Lead, coach and develop the warehouse teams to meet company objectives.
- Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the warehouse teams to ensure KPI’s are met.
- Development and implementation of logistic plans to ensure full and seamless flow of products through warehouse optimization, lean techniques and inventory management.
- Drive improvements in the warehouse performance to ensure the company is operating at industry best practice and achieves company objectives
- Ensure all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the Company’s procedures.
- Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stocktake is in line with the Company procedures ensuring all stock movements are recorded accurately.
- Develop a Skills Matrix on the Warehouse teams and identify any training gaps.

**Profile**:

- Ability to build, lead and motivate a skilled team able to meet objectives and agreed targets.
- Knowledge and understanding of lean techniques.
- Demonstrable experience of running a warehouse.
- Strong decision making skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to liaise with people at all levels, both within the organisation and externally.
- Strong people management skills with an ability to plan, prioritise and organize workloads to meet customer delivery expectations.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong understanding of OHS principles and legislation.
- A desire to advance and willing to challenge existing processes and procedures and think laterally.
- Ability to manage a challenging workload and meet deadlines.
