**The Opportunity**:

- Work on master planning, precinct planning and other place-based projects with an emphasis on **placemaking, liveability**, **smart sustainable development**, infrastructure, economic development, reconciliation, heritage, tourism, community resilience, the environment and Net Zero.
- Work in different sectors including infrastructure, housing, renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, industrial, commercial, utilities and resources.
- Develop project management skills.
- Work with senior staff to identify and manage project risks.
- Work directly with clients to help resolve project planning issues.
- Carry out management functions on your projects (track timelines, budgets, and deliverables).

**What you bring**:

- Tertiary qualified in Urban and Regional Planning.
- Eligible for membership of the Planning Institute of Australia.
- 8 years’ relevant experience in the field of Principal Planning (with emphasis on well-developed report writing skills).
- One to five years’ experience in planning services.
- Experience with, or demonstrated capacity in:

- Strategic planning, master planning and precinct planning
- Stakeholder and community engagement documents
- Other statutory and/or technical documentation
- Excellent written and verbal skills (presentation of concise, strong arguments that can be understood by both Regulators and public).
- Experience with sourcing, collating and interpreting planning and environmental information.
