They are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Communications Officer to start ASAP in this exciting 2 month contract role based in St Leonards
**The Job**
Reporting into the Communications & Awareness Lead, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Managing communication channels to increase awareness and understanding.
- Involved in design, content development and coordination of activities to support the department.
- Preparing content for audiences through digital communications.
- Developing communications plans and strategies.
- Contributing to the development and management of digital communication tools for internal and external users.
- Implementing and managing the SharePoint site and reviewing of web pages.
**You**
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas:
- At least 1 year experience in a similar Communications focused role.
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations or journalism or relevant/demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Experience in project managing communications and content delivery across a variety of channels for internal and external audiences.
- NSW Government experience is highly advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
