**About the role**

The Head of Engagement is a critical leadership role responsible for enabling the development and implementation of strategies to engage, build and strength relationships with key stakeholders, including governments, industry, associations, standards bodies, and community organisations.

This position will play a critical role in enhancing the organisation’s reputation, influence, and operational success by ensuring effective communication, engagement and partnership with all stakeholders.

**What you'll do**
- Lead and mentor a team of sector stakeholder engagement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Monitor performance and provide coaching and feedback to improve team capability and productivity
- Builds and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with a diverse range of stakeholder
- Leads advocacy efforts to influence policy decisions and outcomes that benefit the organisation, including drafting position papers, policy briefs, and submissions to government consultations
- Leads the organisation's response to stakeholder-related issues or crises, coordinating with relevant departments to manage and mitigate risks
- Leads initiatives to identify, design, and implement automation tools and processes across all areas the team engages. Champion the adoption of Salesforce (CRM) and other technologies that streamline operations and provide actionable insights
- Reinforces our customer-centric mindset with collaborative approaches to solving business challenges
- Works to keep all people ‘on message’ in both language and behaviour
- Ensures the teams have a clear vision and direction and that they understand how they contribute to long-term success of the organisation
- Establishes a supportive environment with a culture of expectation setting, timely feedback, effective training, 1:1’s, coaching, mentoring and support, resulting in high performance

**About you**
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in stakeholder engagement, public relations, or corporate communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful stakeholder engagement strategies
- Strong understanding of global business environments, cultural nuances, and geopolitical factors that influence stakeholder relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a variety of audiences
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and teams, with a focus on results and time management
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally
