**YOUR ROLE**

As a Risk Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for executing assurance reviews, utilising data analytics, trends, and external environment intelligence to identify and assess potential weaknesses in IAG's control environment.

As part of the line 2 risk advisory team within Group Risk, you will be supporting the Intermediated Insurance Australia (IIA) and Corporate Services Divisions and will be required to regularly meet with senior stakeholders for planning, execution and reporting of assurance activities.

This role is best suited to someone who is analytical, curious and thrives when working closely with stakeholders across the business to understand business objectives, core processes and improvement opportunities.

This is a permanent role based in **Sydney or Melbourne.**

**ABOUT YOU
- Strong experience in risk management (first or second line), controls assurance, audit, or process improvement/re-engineering in financial services.
- Proven communication, influencing and relationship management skills.
- Excellent report-writing skills.
- Industry qualification/certification e.g. CA, CIA, CRMA, CISA, Lean Six Sigma.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across functional teams, managing ambiguity, and delivering on multiple/concurrent assignments.
- Familiarity working with large data sets and contemporary analysis techniques/tools a plus.
