We are working with a growing mutual bank who are currently seeking a Risk and Compliance Manager for a newly created role in their Sydney head office.

Key Responsibilities:

- Developing and supporting compliance and testing frameworks.
- Helping to strengthen the governance and compliance framework.
- Maintaining compliance controls.
- Develop risk management plan and implement into the business.
- Governance & compliance - Develop, review and reform relevant policies and frameworks.
- Review current risk system and look to potential upgrade.
- Supporting and developing compliance assurance and testing frameworks.
- Maintaining checklists and registers.
- Liaising with external bodies including auditors.
- Advising on marketing material, forms, and key documents.
- 4-5+ years of experience within compliance, risk within an authorised deposit-taking institutions favourable.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements relating to ASIC and AFSL along with ACL (financial services).
- Pragmatic approach to managing compliance.
- Strong communication skills, to work with stakeholders (both internal and external).
- Good eye for detail.
