**The opportunity**:
Every year we collect, receive and sort nearly 2 million tonnes of paper, cardboard, glass, plastics, steel and aluminium from Australian and New Zealand households, businesses, and schools, recovering the greatest amount of material we can at our MRFs and sorting facilities.
The role has responsibility and accountability for providing commercial and financial analysis and support to the National Commercial Manager and the Senior Management team with a view to achieving positive growth in both revenue and profit in line with VR’s expectations.
Reporting to the National Commercial Manager - Visy Recycling, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Provide financial modelling and analysis that supports projects, tenders, acquisitions, and business development initiatives
- Provide input on Commercial workflows, to improve financial outcomes
- Preparation, maintenance, and oversight of all daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
- Update rebates in the system and calculate adjustments required
- Provide profitability modelling based on rebate payable reports to ascertain the financial impact
- Utilise and develop relationships with internal stakeholders to enhance capabilities of areas of responsibility
- Manage information supplied by customers within privacy legislation and company policy
**What you will bring to the team**:
- Tertiary Qualified in Finance / Business or related discipline essential
- Minimum four years of experience working in commercial & analyst roles in a manufacturing or corporate environment in the Recycling Business
- Demonstrated experience in planning/reporting processes and systems in a medium to large organisation
- Demonstrated experience in report preparation and presentation to key internal and external stakeholders/clients
- SAP, MS Access & Excel, and Qlik Dashboard proficiency desirable.
- Strong leadership and commercial management skills.
