An exciting role now exists within our Productivity & Realisation team for a Commercial Analyst with strong business acumen, report writing, analytical and teamwork skills.
The Commercial Analyst is responsible for proactively supporting the Senior Commercial Manager and wider team by providing timely and high-quality financial analysis, information and advice for our legal and client-facing teams.
**Key responsibilities**:
Assisting with financial activities including budget/forecast preparation, management reporting, development of legal business plans and ongoing reviews
Proactively identify areas for improving quality, productivity and increasing profitability
Monitor productivity including lawyer utilisation and leverage across the firm and assist in redirecting resources to where they are most needed
Assisting with pricing and matter plans of major pitches
Assist with the provision of accurate, timely and useable reports to key stakeholders
Undertake financial modelling and analysis, including data mining and reconciliation
**Required skills and experience**:
At least 1 year experience in a similar FPA role gained ideally within a professional services firm
Strong business acumen and ability to build rapport with partners and other stakeholders
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
Advanced technical skills including MS Office (Excel & Access) and confidence with preparation of reports
