- Job Description**NeuroRehab’s Allied Health Assistant Clinical Manager**

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Allied Health Assistant professional to take on a newly created Allied Health Assistant Clinical Manager role - an exciting opportunity for an experienced Allied Health Assistant professional to take the next step in their AHA career This role will develop your management skills within a high-level strategic leadership position, where you are also able to balance with your hands-on clinical duties.

The pay rate is based on the Health Professionals and Support Services award 2020, Support Services level 9 at $62,738pa or $31.75/hr (the salary is open to negotiation depending on your experience).

**Key Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to)**
- The overall clinical management of the AHA team
- Responsible for Leave Management of the AHA team
- Responsibly for addressing stakeholders' feedback and/or complaints regarding the AHA team
- Working closely with Organisational integrity officer and treating allied health professional on incident management relating to AHAs
- Debriefing with AHAs and linking AHAs with allied health professionals for incident management
- Attendance of clinical leadership meetings, leadership lunches, leadership planning and education days
- Service provision of AHA services to clients in home, clinic or community
- Liaison with Customer Service team regarding fulfilling AHA referrals for AHA programs
- Lead the recruitment, induction, and training process of AHA staff
- Responsible for matching Complex needs clients with suitable AHAs
- Lead and/or participate in teaching, supervision, support and development of allied health assistants and senior allied health assistants
- Lead performance management of AHAs
- Effectively communication with internal and external Stakeholders

**Home Clinic**

The home clinic for the role would be either Deer Park or Thomastown depending on which is more ideal for you. The work capacity is a hybrid mix of in-clinic and working from home basis.

- Excellent and effective communication skills
- Knowledge of the Allied health assistant/therapy assistant role, scope of practice, and supervision and delegation
- Proficient skill level in core competencies for AHAs of individual therapy, group therapy, communication of patient information and equipment and environment
- Work experience and knowledge of working in a community setting.
- Proficiency with typical Microsoft suite programs (Word, Outlook, Excel) and the diary management system Nookal (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to recognise and report risk with sound judgement.
- Flexible and creative approach to problem solving

**Requirements**:

- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent in a clinical allied health related field including overseas qualification in an allied health-related field
- 5 years’ experience as an Allied Health Assistant/Therapy Assistant
