- Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.**About the Role**
- The Midwifery Group Practice and Home Birthing program at Barwon Health are seeking a skilled and experienced midwife to co ordinate and lead our team. This leadership role will be involved in the planning and delivery of a high quality MGP service, whilst developing a professional, cohesive and collaborative partnership withing the Maternity services.- The successful applicant will need to have an understanding of caseload models and a passion for continuity of care. Experience with homebirth would be benefical. The role needs to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including women and their families, obstetricians, core midwives and the neonatal services team.- This role is a administrative leadership position with no requirement for clinical load, however strong clinical skills and expereince will be necesary for occasional attendance at births as a second RM during business hours. Hours are 48 per fortnight, days negotiable.**About the culture**
