- Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.**About the Role**
- The Safer Together Program (STP) is Safer Care Victoria’s (SCV) first statewide safety improvement initiative, aiming to create a safer and more sustainable healthcare system for all Victorians. The Safer Together Program Coordinator has primary responsibility for the delivery of the Safer Together Program for the Barwon South West Region.- The Safer Together Program Coordinator will lead the BSW Safer Together team, responsible for leading the BSW in improvement initiatives in collaboration with health services. As the Safer Together Coordinator, your primary goal is to foster collaboration, steer the effective implementation of the Safer Together Program and maintain reporting with member health services, Safer Care Victoria and various other stakeholders.- The role reports to the BSW HSP Officer and will work closely with other team members to ensure the implementation and delivery of the STP functions. The role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment that has a passion for driving clinical improvement and better outcomes for Victorians. The position is hosted by Barwon Health, with accountability to the BSW CEO Council.- The successful applicant will have:
- Tertiary qualification in a field related to health administration, medicine, nursing, midwifery, paramedic, pharmacist or allied health
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management and quality improvement and associated methodologies, and proven experience at developing program and project plans and strategies
- Excellent written and presentation skills that can be tailored to diverse audiences- Significant regional travel is an expectation of the role.-
