About the role
As part of the People and Culture Business Unit, the purpose of this role is to equip, enable and empower our people to thrive, so they can provide life-giving blood, plasma, transplantation and biological products for life-changing outcomes. Reporting into the National Manager Health and Injury Support, the main purpose of the role is to develop, influence and strategically support our leaders navigating both work related and non-work related injury and illness.
Accountabilities
Partner with line managers and employees to promote the benefits of recovery at work
Design, implement and review individual injury management strategies and return to work plans to ensure a safe and sustainable return to work
Influence, coach and mentor line managers in Early Intervention and injury recovery processes
Proactively provide accurate, timely and appropriate advice regarding workers compensation claims to internal stakeholders
Records management and administration of injury management database (Solv Injury) relevant to case portfolio
Collaboration with workers compensation agents and insurers to ensure compliance and effective claims management strategies
Work with the broader PandC team and direct managers to coach and inspire a culture that values health, safety and wellbeing of self and others
Skills and capabilities
Rehabilitation/Health related degree (Physiotherapy, OT, Psychology, Nursing or related health science field) (essential)
Minimum 3 years in a similar position in injury management/case management
Current Australian drivers’ licence
Proven track record of supporting injured employees return and recover at work
A team player that can demonstrate working in a large multi-site workforce
Au fait with working across various state-based workers compensation schemes
Confident in communicating effectively across a wide range of stakeholders
