About the role
As an integral member of a professional ward team, assist in the provision of an accurate and timely professional administrative and client focused support service to patients, relatives, visitors, and multi-disciplinary health care providers with whom the position liaises. Provide administrative support to facilitate the smooth admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
About you
- Contribute to patient flow efficiencies on the ward and throughout the hospital by liaising with a range of staff to coordinate appointments, resources and movements on behalf of patients
- Utilise the Microsoft Office Suite and multiple hospital-based information systems whilst ensuring maintenance of data integrity
- Perform appropriate other duties as requested by the Senior Administration Officer or Nurse Unit Manager
- Work autonomously within the scope of the role, adapt and act innovatively and resourcefully in the performance of duties
