**About the role**

***We are seeking a Communications and Engagement Officer who will primarily be responsible for creating and developing high-quality content for internal audiences of the department. You will also have well-developed customer management skills and are results-driven, resilient and confident in managing challenging situations. You have a working knowledge of the legislative and policy frameworks.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a dynamic, busy team.

You will also have the following attributes:

- High level of interpersonal and oral communication skills including working both autonomously and in a team environment
- An eye for detail and have a creative approach to content creation
- You are adaptable with exceptional time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Enjoy working on a range of different projects and tasks simultaneously.

**Skills and Experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
- Relevant work experience or relevant tertiary qualifications.
