**About the role**

The Assistant Project Officer (New and Emerging Communities) is part of the Community team within the Community & Policy Division at Multicultural NSW. This role undertakes a range of project research, analysis, reporting, implementation, and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of Community team projects, in line with established project plans and objectives.

The Assistant Project Officer (New and Emerging Communities) administers, maintains and improves knowledge management systems to ensure Multicultural NSW is a one-stop shop for timely and accurate community contacts and cultural diversity data.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Conduct regular reviews with a focus on data integrity and integration where required
- Ensure community engagement activities data is updated and correct.
- Conduct data analysis to support the delivery of community projects,
- Produce regular and ad-hoc reports for management.
- Contribute to the development of digital strategies and procedures in relation to the services provided to enhance engagement with the community.
- Identify any systems issues and liaise with IT/ provider for resolution.
- Provide project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones, and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans
- Undertake basic research and analysis in assigned project areas and contribute to the preparation of project briefs to support informed decision making and planning.
- Assist the project team to complete tasks and implement project plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues

**Essential Requirements**
- Formal relevant qualifications or experience in a similar role.
- Experience with CRM, or equivalent app and software
- Technical understanding of databases, and strong attention to detail
- Sound ability to analyse data and compile and present information, reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate complex and technical concepts to non-technical users and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Process driven with the ability to identify improvements where possible
- Experience in report writing
- Experience in project administration
- Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
