- As a member of the Policy and Programs team, the Industry Liaison Officer - Women’s Participation is responsible for: - Providing high-level support, policy and project advice to industry sectors seeking to enhance the recruitment, retention and engagement of women in their respective fields. - Providing advice to Government to inform decisions in relation to supporting women’s workforce participation.We support reasonable adjustment requests in any stage of the assessment process to remove barriers and facilitate full participation in all aspects of employment for applicants. **Period of Appointment**:
This is a fixed term appointment for a period of 12 months

**Hours per fortnight**:
Up to 73.5 hours - flexible options available.

**Duties**:
1. Identify issues and trends in relation to employment and advancement of women in non-traditional fields, and support industry sectors to develop strategies and approaches to address issues and overcome barriers.

2. Facilitate opportunities for information sharing, networking and collaboration across key industry sectors in relation to the attraction, recruitment and retention of women in these fields.

3. Develop resources and communications in relation to innovative, effective and best practice approaches to the attraction, recruitment and retention of women in non-traditional fields.

4. Provide advice to support Government decision making in relation to increasing women’s workforce participation, through regular contact with industry peak bodies and local networks.

5. Coordinate funding initiatives designed to increase women’s workforce participation, and leadership development including scholarship programs, competitive grant programs and other initiatives.

6. Prepare high-level briefing notes, correspondence, documentation and ministerial responses on issues related to women’s policy and programs.

7. Represent the Agency in a range of relevant forums.

8. The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.

**Desirable Requirements**:

- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or experience to a similar level.
