**_About the Role_**
Contribute to the development and delivery of policies, projects, submissions, resources and guidance in relation to the statutory functions of the Electoral Commissioner and NSW Electoral Commission and the education and engagement of external stakeholders under the following legislation:

- Electoral Funding Act 2018
- Electoral Act 2017
- Lobbying of Government Officials Act 2011
- Local Government Act 1993 (electoral provisions only).

The role is an Ongoing position.

The New South Wales Electoral Commission delivers trusted and independent systems, processes, oversight and engagement that support democracy in New South Wales. Our vision is to maintain confidence in the integrity of the democratic process and make it easy for people to understand and participate.

- Investigating possible offences and enforcing electoral laws such as the Electoral Act 2017 and the Electoral Funding Act 2018

**_Essential requirements_**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Experience in policy development and writing, research and analysis in a government or regulatory environment.
- Experience planning and implementing projects.
- Politically neutral with no current or past affiliation to political parties or lobbyists/campaigners.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record check.

This role is based in at our Elizabeth Street, Sydney office with a hybrid work arrangement.

**The NSW Electoral Commission requires all workers to be vaccinated for COVID-19. You must have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination by the commencement of your engagement or prior to first attending at a NSWEC location. You must produce evidence of your vaccination status for inspection when you attend for work. You may also be required to provide evidence of booster vaccine doses, in due course, and any such arrangements will be notified to you separately.
