We are seeking energetic, highly organised and task-orientated ASD4/5/6 Finance Officers to undertake a broad range of work in our corporate, project delivery and business areas in support of ASD’s mission.

Within the division, the role will be accountable to perform and achieve complex procedural, operational, administrative and business support work within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to ensure they have knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.

**ASD 4 - Finance Officer**
As an ASD4 Finance Officer you will have a broad range of skill sets to undertake functions including:

- A strong desire to start a career in finance, accounting and/or procurement
- Documentation development skills with the ability to assist in internal and external budget preparation
- Strategic thinking and problem solving skills
- Communication skills, both in terms of writing and presenting to large audiences
- Research and analytical skills
- The ability to develop and deliver as a team

**ASD 5 - Finance Officer**
As an ASD5 Finance Officer you will have a broad range of skill sets to undertake functions including:

- Supporting internal budget preparation and financial performance reporting;
- Supporting external budget preparation and reporting process;
- Preparation of monthly financial management reports;
- Preparation and delivery of financial advice and support to ASD business areas;
- Building and sustaining internal and external stakeholder relationships;
- Support.
- Understanding OR experience in procurement will be highly regarded

**ASD 6 - Finance Officer**
As an ASD6 Finance Officer you will have a broad range of skill sets to undertake functions including:

- Lead support to internal budget preparation and financial performance reporting;
- Lead support to external budget preparation and reporting process;
- Preparation of monthly financial management reports;
- Coordinate and perform asset accounting activities;
- Preparation and delivery of financial advice and support to ASD business areas;
- Building and sustaining internal and external stakeholder relationships;
- Understanding OR experience in procurement will be highly regarded
- Ensuring financial governance and compliance requirements are met.
