**The Role**
Key duties and responsibilities include:

- Coordination, management and delivery of projects that support the functions in a secure and efficient manner.
- Work independently and be accountable for the achievement of outcomes of their work.
- Provide detailed administration, professional and policy advice in relation to complex work
- Contribute to strategic planning, program and project management, finance and policy development.
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels and provide support in relation to complex issues.
- Identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve work unit and ASD outcomes.
- Manage competing priorities by exercising strong organisational and decision-making skills

We are seeking energetic, highly organised and task-orientated ASD4/5/6 Project Officers to undertake a broad range of work in our corporate, project delivery and business areas in support of ASD’s mission. As a corporate or project delivery professional at ASD, you will play a critical role in supporting the internal infrastructure of one of the largest organisations within the National Intelligence Community.

Within the division, the role will be accountable to perform and achieve complex procedural, operational, administrative and business support work within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to ensure they have knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.

**ASD 4 - Project Officer**
As an ASD4 Project Officer you will have:

- The ability to develop and deliver as a team

**ASD 5 - Project Officer**
As an ASD5 Project Officer you will have:

- The ability to collaborate, share ideas and challenge others in a respectful manner
- The ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
- Strong documentation development skills
- Strategic thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both in terms of writing and presenting to large audiences

- The ability to develop and deliver as a team

**ASD 6 - Project Officer**
As an ASD6 Project Officer you will have:

- Experience in managing and delivering projects
- Experience in project planning, budgeting, governance and managing risk
- The ability to facilitate meetings and workshops
- The ability to develop and sustain productive working relationships
- The ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
- Strong documentation development skills
- Strategic thinking and problem solving skills
- Well-developed communication skills, in both writing and presenting to large audiences
- Strong research and analytical skills
- The ability to develop less experienced team members
