**The Role**

**Project Support Officers**

(PSO) Under broad direction, PSO’s are accountable for assisting teams in managing medium to long-term scopes of work, which may include duties such as:

- Preparing project documentation;
- Providing procurement advice; and
- Delivering additional ad-hoc administrative support.

**Business Intelligence Officers**

Working closely with teams, BIO’s will engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes, and implement best practice methodologies to address complex and/or sensitive issues. BIO’s will undertake duties such as:

- Plan and scope projects, including soliciting requirements from internal and external stakeholders;
- Review existing projects to identify gaps in terms of implementation and risk;
- Prepare and distribute high quality reporting that supports the achievement of key project milestones.

Exercising their judgment and expertise, BIO’s will seek to ensure Mission Capability projects are designed and delivered in accordance with best practice, and will play a vital role in driving and achieving outcomes for a diverse range of stakeholders

**Operational Support Officers**

Do you have an interest in cryptocurrencies, computers, networks and all things tech? As an OSO you'll assist in the research, design, procurement and sustainment of some of ASDs most critical mission-systems. You don't need a degree in IT but you will need a curious mixture of attributes; strong attention to detail and process focus yet simultaneously a lateral thinker with the flexibility of mind to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment involving rapid context switching.

OSO’s come from all backgrounds; some have arts or science degrees, some have life experience qualifications, others have taken a hiatus from studies, are returning from parental leave or just an absence from the workforce. If you can think creatively and deliver results, ASD will mentor, develop and train you so that you have the capability to contribute to Australia’s national security.
