**This position is open to internal NSW Health permanent employees, or temporary employees who have been employed as part of a merit based selection process for more than 3 months.**

**Where you'll be working**
The Systems Integration Monitoring and Evaluation (SIME) team supports units/branches across the NSW Ministry of Health (MoH) to make evidence-based decisions relating to the planning, management, funding, and evaluation of health services. The team work collaboratively with policy owners and system managers to plan, design, and execute performance monitoring activities that support process, outcomes and economic evaluation.

The SIME team manage and support innovative programs of work that align to the strategic priorities of NSW Health that need to be monitored to build an evidence base on impact as well as sustainability.

**What you'll be doing**
The **Monitoring and Evaluation Manager** will coordinate SIME projects, working closely with stakeholders to deliver high quality products that meet project objectives. The role includes development and implementation of data collection and linkage plans, stakeholder engagement, co-design and development of monitoring and evaluation plans, implementation and delivery of key project milestones.

You may be asked to undertake further assessments as part of the recruitment process for this position, which may include, but is not limited to, psychometric assessment (e.g. personality and cognitive abilities assessments) and/or particular work tasks.

**Selection Criteria**
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience in project management in the Health sector, including experience interpreting health data.
- Proven track record of planning, designing, and implementing complex evaluation projects and delivering positive outcomes under tight timelines and competing political and business priorities.
- Demonstrated experience in all aspects of project management including leading and driving initiatives, project planning, managing resources and negotiating implementation outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement experience, including the ability to maintain effective relationships and a consultative approach to the design and delivery of monitoring and evaluation initiatives.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and able to utilise these to create presentations, graphs, reports and diagrammatic representations of concepts for a variety of work products.
- Being flexible and adaptable to changes in the availability of resources and time, capacity and competing demands whilst maintaining an outcomes and solutions-focused approach to monitoring and evaluation activities.

**COVID-19 Vaccination Compliancy**

Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
