Our Strategic Evaluation and Statistics team in the Science Strategy and Impact branch is currently seeking to appoint a **Project Officer **to support the Net Zero Plan. The position will support monitoring and evaluation for a portfolio of programs targeting energy, electric vehicles, hydrogen, primary industries, technology, built environment, carbon financing and organic waste.

***The team is purpose-driven with a positive collaborative culture and delivers best practice monitoring and evaluation activities for programs delivering the Net Zero plan.

- collate, analyse and manage data and information to identify trends and inform decision making
- work in partnership with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to connect the dots and support better processes
- collaborate with a broad range of colleagues while being proactive and an independent worker.
- use your project management skills to help coordinate resources and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes.

You’ll shine in this role if you are analytically minded, bring knowledge of government processes, MERI (monitoring, evaluation, reporting and improvement), but if you are willing to learn then you’ll also succeed.

**Essential Requirements**
- Demonstrated experience in project management in the context of contemporary government policies and community attitudes.
- Degree in a relevant discipline

**Participation in the NSW Biodiversity Offsets Scheme (BOS) & BCT’s Private Land Conservation (PLC) Programs**

All new employees with an existing defined interest in the BOS will be required to disclose their personal (or a close family member’s) participation to ensure potential conflicts are managed appropriately. In some circumstances this may require divestment of the interest.

The BCT also has restrictions on staff participation in its funded PLC programs. No additional funding, beyond that already agreed to by the BCT, may be sought or approved during time as a BCT employee or for a 12-month period following termination of employment.
