**Your impact**

Following an internal promotion to our Global team, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Group Treasurer at Asahi Beverages. The role requires strong commercial orientation and deep knowledge of best-practice risk management to ensure the effective treasury and insurance management across Australia and New Zealand.

Reporting to the Group General Manager Group Finance, you will be required to influence the senior executives of the business and leading Asahi Oceania’s treasury strategy. You will be managing one direct report and responsible for corporate liquidity, investments and risk management related to Asahi Beverages financial activities and manage certain aspects of the Group’s insurance program.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs and funds available for investment across the group. Collaborate effectively across group accounting, financial planning, transaction finance and procurement teams.
- Ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
- Use hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the Group’s foreign exchange and commodity positions
- Lead monthly hedging steering committee meeting comprised of executives and senior management.
- Develop funding & insurance strategies, providing the business with recommendations
- Report to the Audit & Risk committee and Board on treasury & insurance matters
- Liaison with Japanese parent company & global office in relation to treasury & insurance matters
- Provide treasury support in relation to Mergers & Acquisitions projects and other major investments
- Oversee accounting processes associated with hedge accounting and treasury transactions
- Manage insurance claims and assist with renewal process.

**What we’re looking for**
- Formal qualification in Banking, Accounting or Finance
- At least 10+ years of experience in a corporate environment providing treasury services
- Knowledge and experience of working in money markets
- Awareness and ability to act on legislation or regulatory changes and requirements
- Strong focus on delivering for the businesses, and able to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- A compliance and risk mindset with strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Ability and enthusiasm to drive continuous improvement in process efficiency
- Proven change agent and understanding of systems implementations would be highly desirable.
