**About us**:
- STELaRLab is Lockheed Martin Australia’s research & development laboratory. It is Lockheed Martin’s first multi-disciplinary research lab to be established outside of the US. STELaRLab conducts research in areas of key strategic importance to Australia’s defence, including artificial intelligence, multi-domain operations, space systems analysis and capabilities, and advanced analytics. The Lab is dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art technologies for Australia’s security.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- As the S&BD Lead you will take carriage and ownership of identifying new R&D business opportunities, engage customers and stakeholders to shape impactful R&D strategies, and develop the relationships across Lockheed Martin needed to deliver high impact solutions for Australia’s security needs.**To be Competitive For This Role You Will Need**:
- Advanced communication and influencing skills including the ability to prepare and present concise oral and written reports, briefings, updates and other documentation to a wide range of stakeholders
- Pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues, and develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships in order to achieve business objectives
- Advanced problem-solving skills, including ability to develop solutions to complex problems through the use of ingenuity and creativity
- Extensive experience working within a Defence scientific, engineering, or operational organisation
- Broad, contemporary knowledge and understanding of technologies in the defence or national security sectors
- Strong knowledge of the Defence and National Security policy environment, including export control, international partnerships, and associated governing arrangements
