As our new part time (2 days a week) Community Engagement Officer, reporting to the Marketing & Community Manager, you will be responsible for the support, development, and maintenance of effective working relationships with our community by utilising bespoke supporter engagement.

Additionally, you will:

- Develop engagement strategies for our MS Super Splash participants, local community champions, ambassadors, and support group convenors in line with business strategy and key dates
- Contribute to retention and recognition activities related to event participation
- Provide ad-hoc / snapshots, reporting fundraiser progress to Marketing and Community Manager and key stakeholders where appropriate
- Maintain and update database, including ensuring business rules are adhered to and supporter records are as accurate as possible to support an engaged and rewarding supporter experience

About you:

- Year 12 completion certificate or equivalent
- Excellent reading/writing and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with people at various levels
- Awareness of the impact of positive relationships on business outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to provide innovative solutions to marketing, brand and customer attraction using well-developed communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of information technology systems including Office 365 environment, Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint and more

**A NDWS clearance and completion of NDIS Online Worker Training Module will be required for this role (prior to commencement).**

**The Work We Do**:
MS Queensland has been supporting Queenslanders with MS and other neurological conditions for 65 years. We are part of a larger MS group and focus on helping people in Queensland. Our mission is to improve over 5000 lives, advocate for change, and search for a cure. We prioritise customer well-being and aim to be accessible, flexible, and approachable.

Through fundraising efforts, we offer services like information access through our NeuroAssist team, NDIS support, MS nursing, wellness activities, and support groups. We run charity events like the MS Brissie to the Bay and MS Swimathons across Queensland to raise funds for vital services and research into treatment and a cure for MS.
