INTRODUCTION

The Regional Product Application Specialist provides technical support to the Market Area Sales Team belonging to the East Hub region (APA, Africa, Middle East and China) primarily covering the Chute Solutions product line.

THE ROLE

Provide technical support to the regional sales organisation and assist in developing solutions and design briefs in response to sales opportunities and in line with Business Line principles and strategy.
When required, accompany company regional Sales Team in site visits, audits and discussions to understand the ’customer challenge’ including material and downtime costs.
Provide technical support including product selection as well as technical advice and scoping for marketing and training material as well as success stories.
Participate in and engage in formulating technical concept solutions and collaborate with the Hub design teams to have designs prepared in a timely fashion.
Design innovative solutions to satisfy customer requirements.
Perform design and 3D modelling for proposal work as well as purchase order work.
Assist with detail design and drafting when required.
Train, educate and mentor junior employees within the Hub organisation
Provide recommendations on the development of new products as well as optimisation of existing products to improve performance, quality or cost competitiveness.
Provide technical support in Market Areas customer claims.

ABOUT YOU

Design experience and ability to complete initial design scopes and modelling, ideally with AutoDesk Inventor (or similar software)
Valid Passport for international travel and driver’s licence for local travel
Customer service mindset
Critical analysis, ability to make decisions, commitment and flexibility
Ability to collect data and information to make strategic analysis and recommendations
High level of computer skills including MS Office Suite
Fluent verbal and written English and a second language would be a plus.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-language atmosphere.
