Why this role matters
The Salvation Army Australia’s Family Violence Stream provides a wide range of services around the country to support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer refuge, children’s and parenting services, counselling, support, men’s programs, accommodation and advice to women and children who are experiencing, or who have experienced, family violence.
About the role
The Program Manager position will be responsible for the oversight of family violence programs and services located across Gippsland, predominately in the Inner Gippsland area, to support the journey to recovery for women and children experiencing family violence.
This position is instrumental in the implementation of operational procedures to ensure the accreditation standards across each state and territory are met.
You will successfully
- Operational oversight of specialist family violence outreach services; men’s behaviour change group, men’s case management,
- Leading risk management on a range of internal practices, policies, and guidelines, including case management, evidence-based groups, and interventions
- Oversight of Salvation Army family violence staff co-located at the Inner Gippsland Orange Door
This is a maximum term full time position, to June 2024 based in Leongatha. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award, Level 8.
What you can bring
- A Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent formal learning
- Significant experience in managing and overseeing case management and outreach support services - experience in the family violence sector is an advantage
- Significant experience in implementing strategy, risk management and human resources
- Well-developed liaison and communication skills, including the ability to consult and negotiate with relevant leaders in agencies in the service sector and the public
- Experience in identifying, leading, developing and working in partnership with others
- A current VIC Drivers Licence
- Valid VIC Employee Working with Children Check
- Ability to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
