Senior Specialist Family Violence Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Specialist Family Violence Practitioner to join our team at The Salvation Army Inner Gippsland Family Violence Integrated Men's Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing support and intervention to men who have perpetrated family violence.
Key Responsibilities- Complete intake and assessment processes to ensure effective case management and risk assessment.
- Co-facilitate face-to-face and online Men's Behaviour Change groups, including after-hours group facilitation, to promote positive behaviour change and support men in their journey towards a violence-free lifestyle.
- Provide individual intervention and case coordination services to men and their families, including developing safety plans to mitigate risk and ensure safety.
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments and develop safety plans to mitigate risk and ensure safety.
- Attend supervision and reflective practice sessions regularly to ensure best practice and continuous improvement.
- Maintain professional documentation and administrative systems according to program and legislative requirements.
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work or a related field is essential.
- A current and valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check is required.
- A current Victorian Driver Licence is necessary for travel to and from work-related activities.
- Demonstrated experience in family violence and case management is highly desirable.
- An understanding of the complexities of working with men who use violence is essential.
