**About the role**

The Project Controller is accountable for developing and maintaining the structure and systems that will provide project, program and portfolio cost baselines, reporting, analysis and forecast. The Project Controller is to develop standardisation across all elements of cost management and reporting. This will be inclusive of the analysis of both financial and schedule metrics. The Project Controller is accountable for accurate and timely reporting of project performance whilst seeking continuous improvement opportunities through lessons learnt and collaboration with the PMO and project teams. The Project Controller will drive measurable performance outcomes that show clear alignment and support to Austal’s strategic objectives.

**_Key objectives & responsibilities include:_**
- Accountable for maintaining and the Project CWBS and financial baseline.
- Accountable for the standardisation of the financial Earnt value management system (EVMS)
- Responsible for conducting the financial analysis of Monthly finance reports.
- Responsible for internal stakeholder management
- Responsible for Chairing Project financial meetings
- Responsible for financial project reporting

**_Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:_**
- Hold a Construction safety induction (white card)
- 5+ years’ experience in a planning / control’s role in Defence, Martine or complex manufacturing or construction.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work across several projects.
- Experience in developing, establishing and operating project controls processes and tools.
- A thorough understanding of earned value principles
- Hands on experience in cost control
- Effective communication skills and competency in Microsoft office.
- Competent understanding of ERP and accounting.
